How to Diversify Your Organisation and Be More Inclusive

Michelle and some of the Trustees attended sessions provided by Voluntary Action Leeds. It is a new project to support the development of new and emerging strategic leaders from underrepresented communities and to create a platform for good strategic leaders to emerge and make a difference in society. It aims to support organisations who want to be more diverse and inclusive in their practices through a training programme.

Later in the year there will be an opportunity to have a trained person to sit on the Board of Trustees and they will advise and influence the development of the organisation to make it more inclusive and equitable. We will also be working towards achieving the cultural competence kitemark.
