Support Home-Start Leeds

You can help us change a child’s life!

We want to be able to support all the families who need us but we simply can’t do that without your help. We are seeing a rise in the number of families being referred to us so we need to recruit and train more Volunteers to help support families in need and give more children a brighter future. We can only carry out our vital work with financial support from people like you.

All donations directly support families

Donations of whatever size have provided families with weekly support and practical goods such as Easter and Christmas Hampers, toys at Christmas, baby equipment and a variety of emergency supplies.

What your donation can do

Supporting a family costs £1,800 per year – we provide emotional support and practical help to families with a range of needs, helping to build confidence and coping skills; and support the learning and development of their children through our unique Home Visiting Service.

  • £5 pays the bus fare for a Volunteer’s visit to a family.
  • £80 pays staff travel costs when visiting families in their homes around Leeds for a month
  • £500 covers the costs of training a new Volunteer – including an Enhanced DBS Check and 30 Hours of training. We need your help to train 25 new Volunteers each year.
  • £8000 allows to employ a Coordinator 1 day a week for a year to support Leeds Families

Home-Start Leeds depends entirely on the support and generosity of many local people, organisations and businesses.

We receive no funding from the Council or Government.

Your donation will help us support more children and their families in Leeds.
